Soda Lime Flat Float Glass

Soda Lime Glass, also known as Float Glass contains both Sodium and Calcium, and is formed by drawing the glass over molten tin baths. The air side (facing up) is typically flatter and smoother than the tin side. Thin sheet glass is available in many standard thicknesses including .4mm, .55mm, .7mm, .9mm, and 1.1mm thick. Many of these are in stock from Valley Design. Thicker material is also available in various thickness ranging from 2.3mm all the way up to 19.1mm thick. Typical surface finish is 60/40 - 80/50 scratch/dig with flatness of 3-4 waves/inch. Valley can also lap and polish sheet material to custom thicknesses, and also improve the surface finish and flatness if required.
